Prp Rejuvenation Session
GIVE YOUR SKIN A YOUNGER LOOK
WHAT IS PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is your ultimate way to revive your skin without invasive surgery making it look more youthful, even and radiant! PRP is an advanced anti-aging skin rejuvenation treatment that helps initiate the regenerative process in your body and harnesses your body’s own natural power to heal itself by using your own plasma and utilizing the growth factors that platelets are known to contain to repair damaged or injured tissues and stimulate natural collagen production.
What to expect during the treatment?
When the platelets in the plasma are concentrated, magic happens! To achieve concentrated levels of platelets in plasma, a simple blood draw is made from your own body afterwards all the four components of your blood “red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and platelets” are separated by density via a centrifuge. Then, a thin needle is used to reinject this Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) into the areas of your body where healing is needed. The activated growth factors in your blood cells do their job and collagen is naturally stimulated rejuvenating the treated areas. There might be a slight discomfort for a few minutes during and after the procedure, but nothing significant
How do you prepare?
There is not a lot of work that goes into preparing for the treatment. In general, there are only four small steps you need to take. First, wear sunscreen whenever you go out for seven days before your treatment. Second, drink at least 2 litters of water a day for the three days prior to your treatment. Third, do ‘not use Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen and oil supplements for at least 3-7 before the treatment. Finally, come to your appointment with a bare face. Do not wear makeup, moisturizer or any other skincare product, and drink plenty of fluids because we will be doing a blood draw.
How long does a PRP treatment take?
The separation process takes about 15 minutes whereas the whole process usually takes from one to one and a half hour
Post treatment instructions:
PRP treatment is an autologous all natural treatment, meaning it is derived from your own body, which reduces the risk of rejection or allergic reaction. However, you may experience some swelling, bruising, soreness which is normal and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This typically diminishes within the same day or within 24 hours. It is advised not to massage the area of treatment right after the procedure and to continue avoiding aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Iburprofen, Naproxen, Voltaren and other anti-inflammatory medications for 1 week afterwards. stopping exercise for at least 3 days is highly recommended too. Staying away from excessive sun exposure and wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily of SPF 30 or higher is crucial also for optimum results. You may return to your skin care products and makeup when your skin is not irritated, typically 4 -5 days after treatment.
How many treatments are required?
It is recommended to have a minimum of 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart for maximum benefit.
Expected results:
You will begin to see improvements in the overall skin texture and tone shortly after your treatment, but the overall effects take up to 3 months, for optimal improvement since new collagen formation takes 4-6 weeks to develop so please be patient. Among the achieved results is:
