ILLUMINATE THE BEAUTY WITHIN YOU!
WHAT IS MESOTHERAPY?
Mesotherapy is a non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment aimed at reducing areas with problems on the skin such as areas with stretch marks, loss of tone and elasticity, wrinkles and fine lines in addition to improving loss of glow and dull skin. The idea behind Mesotherapy is that it corrects underlying issues like poor circulation and inflammation that cause skin damage by injecting vitamins, enzymes, hormones, minerals and Hyaluronic Acid directly into the epidermis and mesoderm (middle layer of the skin) as close as possible to the area that needs treatment. These injections boost cell activity and stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and overall skin’s metabolism leaving your skin looking plumper, hydrated, radiant, glowing and firmer. Mesotherapy treatment can be used for face, neck and under eyes rejuvenation. The treatment has also outstanding results for common concerns such as hair thinning and excess weight and body contouring and can be combined to enhance the effects of other aesthetic treatments such as Botox or fillers.
What to expect during the application?
Mesotherapy is a relatively painless procedure due to the use of anesthetic creams applied to the area prior to injection. The technique uses very fine needles to deliver a series of injections containing a clever cocktail of natural extracts, amino acids, vitamins and pharmaceuticals including (Hyaluronic Acid) directly into the middle layer (mesoderm) of skin. This process boosts cell activity and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. After the application there may be some superficial swelling and signs of tiny needle marks which will settle in 24-48 hours. This may take a little longer around the eye area.
How do you prepare?
On the morning of your treatment, wash the area to be treated vigorously with antibacterial soap. If you are being treated on the face do not use any lotions, creams, bath oils, or sprays on the areas to be treated. Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may get swollen or red after the treatment, you are advised not to make social plans on the day of your enhancement. You might also have to avoid blood thinners like aspirin (Bufferin), Vitamin E, and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like (Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, Celebrex) for one week before the procedure as these pain relievers can increase your risk of bleeding and bruising during Mesotherapy. In the 24 hours before your treatment try to limit caffeine intake and drink lots of water to ready your body to flush the mobilized fat. It’s also advisable to avoid professional chemical peels close to the procedure site for 4 weeks prior to your treatment.
How long does a Mesotherapy treatment take?
A session typically takes from ten to thirty minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.
Post treatment instructions
Immediately following the procedure, a cold pack or ice should be applied to the treated areas and may be applied as needed for redness or swelling for the first 48 hours. Your skin may feel dry and tight; this is quite normal so you are advised to use extra moisturizer as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid using sunbathe, sauna, steam bath or excessive exercise immediately after the procedure and for at least 24 hours. Steering clear of excessive sun exposure and using a recommended sun protection is very important after Mesotherapy and in general.
