PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE
The old saying ‘prevention is better than cure’ holds true when applied to preventative dental care. With regular preventative care, potential problems can be detected early and treated in a minimally invasive manner which is kinder to your mouth and your wallet than often devastating results which can occur due to neglecting your pearly whites! Here at Al-Mahmoud Medical Center, we offer you a wide range of preventative dentistry services encompassing regular oral examination, diagnostic exams, oral hygiene education, professional in-clinic cleaning, fluoride treatments, etc…to help achieve a healthy smile for you!
2- DEEP TEETH CLEANING USING GUIDED BIOFILM THERAPY
CONQUER YOUR ENEMY…!
Biofilm is the greatest enemy of your healthy mouth! Dental biofilm is the layer of bacteria that can accumulate on and around your teeth and gum while closely matching the color of your underlying tooth or root surface making it hardly to be seen. These bacteria if left unremoved it produces dental plaque and tartar, both of which increase your risk of tooth decay and gum disease.
Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is a highly effective new Swiss innovation performed in a minimally invasive and gentle way using an AirFlow technology to remove all of these bacteria (biofilm) in the mouth. Being so gentle makes it friendly for people of all ages and conditions which means that people with gum disease, orthodontic braces, crowns, bridges, veneers and implants are eligible for the treatment.  GBT Technology is currently being offered by Al-Mahmoud Medical Center allowing our dentists to turn your old school annoying experience to a lifetime of pain-free and fear-free oral healthcare through this revolutionary system.

4- DENTAL FILLINGS

NEVER LET A TOOTHACHE RUIN YOUR DAY!
Cavities can be extremely painful, not to mention annoying and destructive. When a cavity forms, the decay begins to eat into the tooth till it reaches the inner pulp where the blood supply and nerves are located leading to more complicated conditions. Luckily, Cavities are fairly easy to treat if they are caught in the early stages before it’s able to get this deep using dental fillings. Here at Al-Mahmoud Medical Center we offer a variety of different options when it comes to filling materials among which is composite (tooth-colored), porcelain, amalgam and gold fillings.
When you schedule an appointment at Al-Mahmoud Medical Center your dentist will conduct a visual examination of your teeth and look for any signs of tooth decay or cavities. Some cavities can be detected with a visual examination, but typically further examination might be needed using a series of x-rays to allow your dentist to look in hard-to-reach areas. On the day of the treatment your dentist will start by numbing the area where the filling will be placed. The decay is then removed from the tooth using a slow speed drill. Once removed, we prepare the tiny hole for the filling. The material of choice is placed into the small hole and then smoothed into place. If the material has to be cured and hardened, a bright light is used to accomplish this. Your new filling will last for many years without showing signs of wear.

5- BRIDGES

MISSING A TOOTH OR TEETH? GET YOUR CONFIDENCE BACK WITH DENTAL BRIDGES
Dental bridges are often the ideal, permanent, pain-free solution for dental gaps usually created by the absence of one or more teeth between two teeth which can be always embarrassing. Correcting this issue can help make eating easier, assist in your speech and restores your aesthetic appearance in a totally natural look.
At Al-Mahmoud Medical Center we offer several types of dental bridges. The type of bridge that we recommend to you depends on your situation and health, but each type of bridge has advantages and benefits. Our dentists determine which type of bridge would best suit you following a thorough evaluation. Although there are several steps involved in the process of putting in a dental bridge that will require you to make multiple visits to make sure that the dental bridge fits properly in your mouth, the process itself is very straightforward. At the first appointment, your abutment teeth are prepared. After the first preparation visit, your dentist will make a temporary bridge to wear until your next appointment. This bridge will protect the exposed teeth and gums while the new bridge is being made at the lab. At your second visit, the temporary bridge will be removed and the new bridge will be placed in the mouth.

7- TEETH EXTRACTION

LET’S FACE THE FEAR TOGETHER
Occasionally, a tooth may become so damaged from injury, illness, infection, or decay that it must be extracted and removed from its socket in the bone which we understand is daunting and nerve-wracking to many of us, but let’s face the fear together! At Al-Mahmoud Medical Center our clever dentists are qualified to safely perform either simple or surgical extractions and deliver the best aftercare you need to recover and regain health,
function, and a beautiful smile in the most pleasant way. Before pulling the tooth, your dentist will give you an injection of a local anesthetic to numb the area where the tooth will be removed. In some instances, and more complicated extractions, your dentist may use a strong general anesthetic which will prevent pain throughout your body and make you sleep through the procedure. Extractions also might be needed during an Orthodontic treatment to create room for the teeth as they move into place.
